Where is Mount Vernon Community Hall and how do I get there?

Mount Vernon Community Hall sits within Mount Vernon Park in the East end of Glasgow.  It has a car park with spaces for about 40 cars and the road access is via Kenmuir Avenue.  There are also four pedestrian access points from Mount Vernon Avenue, Woodend Road, Kenmuir Avenue and via the Wester Road park entrance.  The Hall is a short walk from a number of bus routes from Glasgow City Centre (Firstbus numbers 2, 240 and 255) and is less than 5 minutes walk from Mount Vernon Railway Station.:  https://www.scotrail.co.uk/plan-your-journey/stations-and-facilities/mtv

How much does it cost to Hire Mount Vernon Community Hall?

We have a 3 hour minimum party hire and it costs £65.  This allows for a 2 hour party/event with half an hour either side for you to set up and clear up.  You can add additional hours at a cost of £20 per hour.

If you are a club or association booking the hall for a fundraising event we offer a 20% discount on the hire cost.

If you are holding a local community charity event we will do our best to accommodate your activity free of charge.

In order to confirm your Hall Let Booking we require you to:

  1. Complete and return our hall booking form (which will be sent to you if the date and time requested are free) and
  2. Pay a £20 deposit -The deposit can be paid by bank transfer, cheque or cash (this should be received within 48 hours of your provisional booking ).
  3. The balance should be made in full one week prior to the hire commencing.

What does the Hire Cost Include?

Your hire cost includes full access to all our facilities including the Main Hall (Capacity 150), the stage, the adjoining lounge area (Capacity 30) and our small kitchen area.
